Travel date: Sunday June 8th

Today was a 12 hour and 5 state (Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisonsin, Minnesota) travel day. We didn't quite break the Sabbath as we listened to a good sermon on the radio.

We are staying overnight (not camping) in Austin, MN and then on to South Dakota tomorrow.

We drove through some dreadful weather most of the day, but the truck and trailer hugged the road without problems. We saw many flooded crops along the way. Tonight on the weather channel, we saw just how bad the storm really looked. Thank goodness we missed the hail.

The highest gas prices we saw was in Chicago at $4.19/gal.

We haven't eaten any fast food yet (one of the many goals of this trip).
