Monday, June 9. The Badlands

Linda took some time to find a cell phone signal and set up her office so she could get a conference call for Sharon Strang's doctoral proposal defense. Sharon, this is what it looked like for your scrapbook. You did an outstanding job! Another shot of Linda's truck office during Sharon's proposal defense:)

A few shots during a hike.
We saw a storm brewing and raced back to the camper to shut the windows. The storm never came, but this is the rainbow that we saw from the campsite. Absolutely breathtaking!

This is the Missouri River. Unfortunately, we didn't stop to kayak. I neeced to be on a conference call and we we needed to find a cell phone signal. So, we kept driving. We saw this SAME view through 5 states for 2 days straight. It gave new meaning to the Dixie Chicks song "Wide Open Spaces"........ We were just happy that it wasn't raining and the sky was breathtaking.

Sorry, same pix
On a walk through the Badlands, I was really happy to see this sign!

Today we got up BEFORE the crack of dawn and drove another 8-9 hours to the Badlands in South Dakota. We are staying at a KOA in Interior, SD (pop. 67).
