These are some views on a hike around Legion Lake. It was toooooo cold to kayak.

H

I thought that dreams belonged to other men.
Cause each time I got close
They'd fall apart againI
feared my heart would beat in secrecyI
faced the nights alone
Oh, how could I have known
That all my life I only needed you?
Whoa Almost paradise
We're knockin' on heaven's door
Almost paradiseHow could we ask for more?
I swear that I can see forever in your eyes
Paradise
It seems like perfect love's so hard to find
I'd almost given up
You must have read my mind
And all these dreams
I saved for a rainy day
They're finally coming true
I'll share them all with you'
Cause now we hold the future in our hands
Whoa
Almost paradise
We're knockin' on heaven's door
Almost paradiseHow could we ask for more?
I swear that I can see forever in your eyes
Paradise
And in your arms salvation's not so far away
It's getting closer Closer every day

Our campsite at Custer National Park. This is where we froze!

We've been at Custer State Park (in Montana) for a few days. We were "primitive camping" which meant vault toilets (a nice way of saying outhouses) without electric. Yesterday we woke up to frost with a temp of 34 degrees. I sat in the truck for a few houses with coffee and a book (Donald Miller, "Painted Deserts") to warm up. Can't say it was a great morning. We decided to tour both Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. I'll try to upload more pictures later. It is Friday night, June 12th and we are exhausted after a 12 hour drive day and stay in Lewistown, MT (named after Lewis of "Lewis and Clark". I think we got the last room in the city tonight. We are grateful for a hot shower and a little media catch-up. I'll post more pix tomorrow morning (after a LOT of coffee!).

We are living a Mountain Dew commercial. Stay tuned for fabulous scenery.
